Yestercool has reimagined the evolution of Eeyore into a respectable business owner, operating an ecologically respectable area of commerce, facilitating bike riding with this bike shop ringer tee.

Eeyore has a particular tie to Austin with the city’s longest running celebration held in his honor. In 1963, students at the University of Texas at Austin, who happened to be studying the works of A.A. Milne, author of the original Winnie the Pooh series, sought an excuse to play hooky from their studies. They picked the last Friday in April, skipped classes and went to East Woods Park for a party. The sad donkey’s birthday became their excuse for the party and the traditon has continued ever since.

For many years the party was a UT tradition, but subsequently the annual Birthday Party became a counterculture tradition in Austin. It's very Austin and very cool. Despite its name, the event does not fall on the official birthday of the fictional character. But Eeyore's Bike Shop is an excellent wardrobe choice for the event, or anytime.

Today, Eeyore's Birthday Party is a fund-raiser operated by the Friends of the Forest Foundation to benefit local non-profit groups in Austin, Texas.

We love reviving the 'classic-cool' look with this unisex ringer tee and Eeyore.
