SlowBar

Beginning in November 2000,  Slow Bar was the spot; a place to drink beer, shoot pool and play the jukebox. And it became a major factor in East Nashville’s flurry of hip eateries, bars and boutiques, contributing to make the City Across the River a hot destination. The beer-only Slow Bar was the first to solidify a music scene in East Nashville. Born across the street from an old, but storied, recording studio (Woodland Studios in 5 Points), the legendary studio that had a client list including Johnny Cash, Steve Earle and Elton John. Bob Dylan recorded "Nashville Skyline" there.

Previously Shirley's Bar, Slow Bar was simple beer bar serving locals and musicians who wrapped late-night sessions at Woodland Studios. Live music followed and the legen of Slow Bar grew.

Slow Bar closed in 2003, but you can rememeber it's signficant past with this tee desig as cool as Nashville itself.
