Parked right next door to Les Amis in downtown Austin, Mad Dog & Beans was part of the daily landscape  for generations of UT students in the 1970s and 80s. It was a place to fill your belly and clog your heart. The food was the best and oh, wow; the prices? Even a student could feast here and walk away with barely a dent to bank account.
