When Austin was cool, Les Amis Café was the sidewalk café where people watched Austin go by.

Lounging at the tables of Les Amis, laid-back customers witnessed the birth and growth of Austin's  counterculture of the 70’s and punk rock of the 80’s as well as the rapid development of the 90s to which it eventually succumbed. (In fact, several scenes from the film SLACKER, which captured a day in the life of quintessential Austin in the late 80s, were filmed at the tables there.)

From 1970 to 1997, Les Amis fed and watered University students, professors, artists, film makers, musicians, bankers, lawyers and anyone else who wandered in for anything -- from their black beans and rice (a favorite) to the cheap carafes of house red wine, all served to tables with red and white checkered tableclothed tables.

We are bringing back the memories and awakening the senses that Les Amis encapsulated for nearly 30 years with this classic unisex jersey short sleeve tee. Soft cotton tee has ribbed knit collars to bolster shaping and shoulder taping for better fit over time. Dual side seams hold the garment's shape for longer.
